When Nicholas LeBoeuf ‘23 first applied to Õ¬ÄÐƵµÀ (SNHU), he knew it was where he wanted to end up.

LeBoeuf was familiar with the university through his sister, Rebecca LeBoeuf Blanchette ‘18 ‘22G, who graduated from SNHU’s . “I knew it was such a great school where they cared about the students, and I felt that day one,” he said. “I knew that this was the place.”

He heard good things about SNHU’s computer science program, too — the subject he intended to study. So, LeBoeuf opted to earn a  on campus at SNHU in Manchester, New Hampshire.

“Great decision,” he said. “Best decision I ever made.”

LeBoeuf said SNHU’s computer science program offered project-based classes, which he hadn’t seen elsewhere. “It really gives you experience in the real world of working as a team,” he said, noting that these courses helped him discover his interest in becoming a web developer, in particular.

He first became interested in computer science through his now brother-in-law and came to SNHU without a background in the field. When he graduated four years later, LeBoeuf had a lot to add to his resume. During his program, he received an academic excellence award, served as a lead peer educator and gained real-world experience while completing an internship, among other accomplishments.

He said that his parents and his siblings supported him through all his hard work and achievements, along with several faculty members he developed relationships with throughout his program. Dr. Bo Kim has been a mentor to LeBoeuf since he first began at SNHU. LeBoeuf also nominated one of his professors, Dastan Banae, for an Excellence in Teaching Award, which Banae recently won.

Post-graduation, LeBoeuf leveraged his education and experience in a new position as a creative engagement design/developer. “Web development is exactly what I wanted to do in my career,” he said.
