SNHU Spotlight: Jacob Kane-Conrad, AS in Information Technology

Kane-Conrad's mother, Tara, and brother, George, graduated together in 2020 with their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, respectively. But Kane-Conrad wanted something else. He decided to follow his own passion and earned his associate degree in IT online.

"From the time I was a little kid, I was always taking (computers) apart, fixing them and putting them back together,鈥� he said.

Kane-Conrad said in addition to being affordable, he liked taking his courses online and appreciated the support he received.

鈥淚 do feel that SNHU offered a great level of support. No matter what question I had it was always answered within in a timely manner,鈥� he said.

Kane-Conrad, who is on the Autism spectrum, said he wants to work for top tech companies making video games and mobile apps. He said he hopes he can inspire others to pursue their degree.

鈥淚t鈥檚 OK to be different. It鈥檚 OK to struggle, and it鈥檚 OK to ask for help,鈥� he said. 鈥淒on鈥檛 let anyone tell you that you can鈥檛 do it, because you can. If you have a dream, go for it.鈥�
