Tiffany Daniels, an instructor and team lead in at Õ¬ÄÐƵµÀ's (SNHU) online bachelor's in psychology program, has spent years combining her interests in psychology with her passion for teaching. 

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ball State University, Daniels went on to the University of Florida to earn a master’s degree in the same field. While there, Daniels said she also worked with students providing therapeutic services to help them cope with a variety of mental health concerns including stress, test anxiety, relationship challenges and substance use/abuse. 

“During that time, I also developed a passion for teaching, and have since devoted my career to higher education,” said Daniels. 

For more than 16 years, Daniels said she has held both part-time and full-time teaching positions across several colleges and universities. She's won two teaching awards and completed nearly 250 hours of professional development related to education. 

Daniel's has an extensive background in research across several areas of interests, including LGBTQ+ issues, women's mental health and early childhood education. 

"SNHU is a wonderful option for learners of all ages and backgrounds," she said.

In her efforts to positively influence the field of psychology and the next generation of educators, Daniels said she has served as an undergraduate research mentor. She has collaborated with both undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants. 

Since joining SNHU in 2013, Daniels has taken on many roles, including adjunct instructor, subject matter expert and faculty team lead.

Daniels said SNHU faculty are experts in their field, and they provide instruction to help students achieve their personal, professional and academic goals.  

“Students leave SNHU ... having developed sound critical thinking, research, writing and other important life skills,” Daniels said.

Abigayle Mahnken ’22 is an assistant content writer at Õ¬ÄÐƵµÀ (SNHU), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and is currently earning a Master of Arts (MA) in English and Creative Writing. Passionate about storytelling and education, she enjoys learning from fellow students' experiences and sharing their stories.
