SNHU Spotlight: Jonathan Oubenslimane, BS in Business Administration Grad

Jonathan Oubenslimane, a 2024 bachelor's in business administration graduate from SNHU.

With several community-based projects underway, Jonathan Oubenslimane ’24 knew a college education could help take his big ideas even further. His focus? An online Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from լƵ (SNHU).

“I chose to earn my degree here at լƵ, because of the flexibility," said Oubenslimane. "I had started a lot of community service projects, as well as different social entrepreneurship initiatives, so it helped me stay flexible with the things I was juggling at the same time."

While at SNHU, Oubenslimane built business expertise he’s confident will support his current projects and whatever comes next.

“I think the number one course that I found beneficial to me was 'Business Plan Preparation,'" he said. "It really did teach me a lot within marketing analysis, preparing the business plan itself, among various other things. It was rigorous, but beneficial at the same time.”

Oubenslimane's dedication to making a meaningful impact carried him from day one to graduation, where he wore a first-generation student stole — a milestone that held deep personal significance.

“My dad is Moroccan and my mom is Brazilian, so they immigrated here," he said. "Growing up in America and being born here as well, it’s just a completely different experience for me than it was for them."

Attending Commencement also gave Oubenslimane an opportunity to reflect on how much his confidence has grown. At the start of his SNHU journey, he wasn’t sure he could pull it off. But with time — and the help of SNHU’s resources and staff — he did it with flying colors, graduating summa cum laude.

“Yes, it was a lot of hard work, but in the end, it was very, very worth it. I am so thankful for how far I've gotten, because without SNHU's support, I wouldn't be here today," said Oubenslimane.
